Is there a difference between a bug and a bus kingpin's trailing arms? |

Here is some info on bus arms and spindles.
Edit. Ok, so after reading it myself it's not as much info as I thought there was. _________________ All the good deals in the world will still make you poor.

Put them beside each other and you will see they are dramatically different. Bus has much larger shank and uses much larger linkpins. Much stouter pieces all around. The swingaxle Bus was factory rated for 1 ton load. Since the Germans did not include driver and passenger in that rating, the VW truck was rated to carry more total weight than domestic US Ford, Chevy or Dodge full-size 1 ton trucks that were rated at 1 ton of load including the driver and passenger. _________________ Richard

This is a Baja that was at the 2014 Fall Bug Run here in Michigan that had a slightly modified early bus beam up front. The bus arms are easy to identify because they are straight unlike the bug arms which angle outwards from the shock mount.
