Westys love to go camping - but the costs are sometimes too high.

Does anyone have secret 'free' locations on the BC coast, and perhaps WA and OR also .... oceanside would be preferable .... thank you !

.... and yes I've seen the 'free camping' guide, they are not really free, most are $10-12/night which is fine, but I'm looking for true boondocking.

lots of free camping on forestry service roads. only issue this time of year is it may be snowed in.

best bet is to get a map book, something like this: http://www.backroadmapbooks.org/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=67_68

just found this stash of maps (you'll need to download them to get enough detail) https://plus.google.com/photos/115491194176307078334/albums/5511451871822512545?banner=pwa

I was just in La Conner, Wa staying at a B&B but it looked like it would be quite feasible (and nice) to boondock at the marina, and maybe the waterfront near the Rainbow Bridge.

I've had great luck boondocking in BC and Oregon, forest roads are great. Never tried near the coast so not sure about that. Washington was a pain, most roads are posted or gated.
