It sounds like you've settled it, but thought I'd clarify for others wondering. The NSR is a local company so I checked them out when I got my bike rack. I REALLY wanted one.

Look into the NSR2 or 4 @ Northshoreracks.com. May want to call company and specifically ask if fatties load up on NSR setup.

NSR should fit this bike, IF you remove the front wheel, otherwise, it won't fit onto the forks it uses to store the bike.

NSR will fit big bikes and bikes with no cross bar. It will *not* fit bikes with out front shocks, unless you remove the front wheel. I did not get it b/c my bike, the only actual mountain bike in our house (just really old pre-shocks) wouldn't fit on w/ out removing the front wheel. Which at the time I thought was a pain...

So, I decided to get a Swing Daddy, and as someone has posted, you'd need that cross bar piece in order to make that orange bike work. It does fit the kids bikes well, but my 5yo's bike has to go on upside down w/ the seat removed, a bit of a pain and means I can't bring the kids bikes along unless DH comes along b/c there is no way I could pick his bike up, turn it upside down and install it over my head, on the bike rack. LOL My almost 9yos bike fits on fine, but he really has to wiggle and jiggle it to get it to squeeze through. In the end, I regretted not buying the NSR b/c now I can't put the kids bikes on myself. Not even sure I could put my own bike on myself b/c the straps to hold in in place are so tight!

SwingDaddy should fit this style:

Have you looked at any "Tray Racks"? It is better for your funny shaped bikes w/ no cross bars, but no idea if they'd fit tires that wide.

Best of luck!

For heavy or big bikes I can really recommend Thule. I have an old one and it can take 150 lbs without a problem. Nowadays I stack the kids' on top and strap them down.
