170366 cool

By my reckoning that is early March 56 and with production switching to Hannover on 8th March 56 that must be one of the very last Wolfsburg buses made Smile How cool is that!

Great Score.

Cheers, Dave

I've had two wolfsburg built busses with 172xxx
So what's your plans for it Wiley

I also have a 172xxx wolfy. built march 17, 56 and left factory June 8, 56

Thanks to a fellow samba member! The patina I mean rusty sc got loaded up. Was on the way to load some other stuff and couldn't have timed it better when I got the call about single cab because it was actually on the same route. So one bay got cut because I didn't have anymore room and it was too far to go back and get so the scab got extra duty!

Reduced to hauling fat crap, eh? Thats when you know the supply is dead. Like going from prospecting for gold and settling on copper.

Damn I would have to think in NJ the police would pull you over in a NY minute for hauling like that.

Yes unfortunately it was but didn't have a enough room and it was just a rolling shell with no title. But a few people have inquired about the parts because it's Og paint. I still don't know what the deal is with that bus. Any info?

Braukuche I just bought these because I just unloaded 3 in Houston and so hate driving home with empty trailer yes supply is dwindling. Lol

Here is a recent thread, with some links to other info. http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=617043&highlight=arizona+yellow

They are unique to 68 only, and are somewhat rare. It is an interesting color for sure.

Apologies to the purists for the baywindow content on foreign soil.

Went and got this '64 over the weekend. Older lady bought a pair of these in the early 90's. I bought the other, a 1960 from her about 3 years ago. I finally convinced her to sell me this one. Plan is to get it running and stopping and use it as a daily driver to haul whatever needs hauling.

Ha! Yeah that's a rig. Kind of like Tijuana jalopies. But the SC actually doesn't look like a lot of cancer from the pics. How are the floors?

Anyone know what happened to this bus? Thought it looked good, but was removed very quickly... I was interested.
