Alright so i posted this up in the " what is this Ghia part and where does it go" and didn't get go" and didn't get any responses, so ill just delete it from there and post it here to maybe speed up a response a bit . don't know if this is frowned upon or not, but i need to know if i have to run wire before I lay down my carpet.

SO ~ firstly is an unknown part on my transmission, it is close to the nose of the trans and on the drivers side. looks just an oil pressure sender, but i couldn't find any wires around it that weren't connected to anything. i checked my reverse lights, and they (one) worked ( I will change the bulb, or polish the socket for the other) here's a pic

next is for the seat belts, I couldn't find any connections on the seat or the rail. maybe i'm not looking in the right places?

I tried searching for all of this, but was not very successful.

Your car would have had safety buzzers on the seatbelts. Do yours work? if not, i'd follow the wire to the source.
My first guess for the sender on the trans is for reverse. 2nd guess would be a temp or pressure sender. Was/is it autostick?

Its a 73

not sure if it was an autostick, but is not currently one. the" buckle up " light worked at one time, but the PO disconnected it, he didn't say if the buzzer worked or not. but the reverse lights do work - its raining now so I can't go look to where the wire runs to.

he said he hooked it all back up when he put the body on - so, i guess ill have to chase some stuff down over the weekend. makes sense that it would be for the buzzer. still don't know where the spade connectors on the seat belt ends go to.

The backup light switch is usually a 2 prong switch, the single prong switch COULD be a neutral safety switch for the start circuit, there where no clutch safety switch on these cars. But why would you want to hook up all those buzzers Laughing Laughing

Buzzers are cool! I like to have all of the original components hooked up, especially since it's modern and kind of neat. But I am bad with putting my seatbelt on - in any car, so since it's my own I guess that there is no need for the buzzer.

I won't worry about it, thanks for all the help guys!
