If i buy an aftermarket roll cage for a beetle has anyone tried to modify it to fit in a buggy. does anyone know what quality the roll cages are that are found in any magaazine

When you say buggy, Do you mean a baja bug or a tubular type buggy? Most of the roll cages you see in the VW magazine ads are for baja bugs.

My buggy is a fiberglass dune buggy. I've seen 4 point roll bars for $99. i'm wondering if it is worth it to buy one and try to modify it of to just find someone to make me a custom one.
