Don't forget, he could have changed the fuel lines but the plastic fuel rails could have spit? CHANGE YOUR FUEL RAILS

I'm curious if anyone has ever seen this happen? if so, how often?

I've seen 6 of them split, or the cap blow off. I carry a fore extinguisher and
a spare fuel rail.

The battery setups under the seats was enough of a fire hazard to give me the willies. I've been working on fusing whatever I could before it exits the battery box. I also carpet-taped a piece of 1/8" sheet ABS to the starter battery cover in the vicinity of the + terminal. Unbelievable Jerry would run wires so far through sheet metal unfused.

If you install too short of a power steering belt, it will pull the pump right into the intake manifold and the fast idle switch will melt the harness all the way back to the fuel pump relay--If theres any vapor there from SEEEPAGE, woof!I have seen this twice on 90 vans, one a syncro.
