Heat should be awesome in that.
Is this coach built, or by an individual? _________________ WANTED:

I love it, it's also convenient if your wife wants sunbathing with a long chair while you are driving |

(*sigh*)
The lady who owned that bus had contacted me asking if I was interested in buying it. I was, but I was too busy with other stuff going on and I just kinda forgot about it. IIRC, she wanted something like $700 for it. _________________ -Thom

you see it was designed for her long chair and a bit for her husband to carry pipes on week-ends! Now where has it landed? |

I see what you did there....
Seems like it was in attendance at one or more of the Deer Park SOTO events...early 90s, i think? It was pretty cool. Pull up to the lumber yard or plumbing supply house in that, and they know you mean business. |

''Someone else mentioned seeing one of these in an old kung fu movie, and it was also carrying a pipe. The karate guys were fighting on the single cab as it was driving and the pipe fell off.''
I would love to see that movie, might be a gem! |

I love it too! I paid dearly for it back in the day, prices sure do inflate when California collectors get ahold of something But it's been worth every penny on the farm and the double takes it gets on it's rare trips off the compound are unbelievable! Can't drive it if I don't want attention. I didn't do a thread on the resto, didn't take many pics, I just wanted to get it back together.
I don't believe all the bs about it on dropgates, I think most of it was hype to inflate the rarity of the find. I've never heard anything about the kung foo movie or the factory using these outside of dropgates, if anyone can contradict that please post up!! The construction of the rig and the story of the little old lady and the plumber match and lead me to believe that it is a 1 off modification done early in it's life for the use of the early owner. Wouldn't matter to me if it was blessed by Ferdinand Porsche, I'd still haul big items and chase cattle with it |

This thing still trips me out. Glad to hear that there's little to no back story to it _________________ Wash your hands
