I thought so, but in a thread that I now can't find, somebody recently said the mount isn't symmetrical! He said that he had to flip it over because it was a little "off" when installed one way vs. the other. Any experience with this one? _________________ Looking for a correct 1967 rear seat

Yes the front mount isn't symmetrical. If you put it on upside down it will lift the nose cone too high to line up with the shift rod. |

So, is there a way to know other than trial and error? The casting is "U" shaped. Does it face up (holding water), or down ? _________________ Looking for a correct 1967 rear seat

That's how it is here in the Bus forum. People have the knowledge and there are thousands of posts with it. Problem is, your search hits don't bring back what you want. Great place to get the answer, but you sometimes have to have thick skin when asking. Hell I've been a user in this site for a long time. I take a shot in the crotch now and then. _________________ Anthony

My '63, possibly the original:
I agree that sometimes the Forum search can be an issue finding something specific like this.
When it comes to finding a photo of something, there is a good chance searching the Gallery will produce something too.
For instance, I searched my own name and tran* mount to pull up the photo above.
When in doubt, do one of these things:
1. Search the gallery for some text and try entries from everettb, hazetguy, or campingbox
These 3 people have posted a lot of detailed photos.
2. Search the gallery for some text, select Parts - Bus - 49-67
3. #2 but select all the Bus vehicle categories instead. _________________ How to Post Photos
