Just received a complete tin set from Clark!
Amazing quality, tins were custom made for my stroker engine.
Packaging was A1.
He his one of the most honnest guy i ever did business with (he had quoted me 200$ for shipping and then after shipping it he refunded over 100$ i had over payed!) Most vendors would have pocketed the money but he sent it back to me!
Thanks alot Clark! Wonderful transaction! |

I contacted Clark a few months ago and purchased a complete set of engine tins from him. I asked him for a set of tins "Ready" for paint out of the box and gave him the exact width of my engine to avoid any confusion as he requested. When the tins arrived at my door, they were packaged very well however the fan shroud was dented and a mounting screw was broken. (nothing that couldn't be repaired) When I mocked up the cylinder tin, they fit great. I then placed the fan shroud over the cylinder covers but could not get it to line up. I then moved the shroud in different positions, but it just didn't have that tight fit I was looking for. I then had to make modifications of my own to the shroud and cylinder covers to get it to my expectations. I asked Clark to modify the fan shroud to accept a type 4 oil cooler for greater cooling. The modification requires welding by extending the dog house. Although this part of the shroud is not visible when installed, I still expected clean and neat welds. I then installed the breast plate which also required shaving pieces off by the exhaust area. I then contacted Clark again and advised him that I was not happy with his products. He gladly agreed to refund me my money with a 15% restocking fee. I opted to do so because after shipping and the restocking fee, I would be better off keeping the tin. Clark offers great customer service, but lacks attention to detail which I paid for. I could of purchased the same tin from SCAT for a 1/3 of the purchase price from Clark. If your building a show car, I would not recommend Awesome Powdercoat.. |

I am not too happy with them. Parts paid for and three weeks later they say 4 more orders in front of me. I totally understand they are behind from being out of town. The part that bugs me is I asked if I could change from gloss to satin and he said there is a $10 color change. Color change? If the parts already have color why arent they shipped. I know they arent done yet but come on. |

I ordered a pair of brand new industrial shields from Clark. They arrived today and were packed well. Turnaround time was 5 days including a weekend, which I thought was very prompt. These industrial shields are fantastic; they fit well and look professional. I recommend Clark and www.awesomepowdercoat.com. |

Traded some parts with Clark, I received a pair of brand new industrial shields and a velocity ring from Clark, took a little longer that I would have liked but the parts were excellent and he kept me up to date on when the parts were being shipped.
Thanks Clark!! Will Buy/Trade with him again! _________________ Only one life, it will soon be past, only what's done for Christ will last. |

I sent Clark my original engine tins, including a few parts that were really ugly. They came back repaired, blasted, powder coated black, and in great condition. His pricing was very fair, communication was first-rate, packaging was good, and it all took less time than I expected. I would highly recommend him to anyone. _________________ 1973 green Super Beetle |

I just got my oil bath air cleaner back from Clark. It looks awesome in gloss black! I absolutely love it! He did all the little clips and flaps too that I had taken apart and sent along with the air cleaner.
Five cars for Awesome Powder Coat!
Bottom line. Yes I recommend him! _________________ If a water cooled engine cools its water with air, isn't it just an overcomplicated air cooled engine? |

Very positive experience with Clark and Awesomepowdercoat.
I am in the Uk, and ordered the full set of cooling flaps for the Ghia, along with two thermostats. The flap kit was great, fit perfectly, great finish. Included all the screws, springs and washers needed too. First class product!
Second interraction was after the Type 4 thermostat I got from him failed. Looks like a pinhole in the edge of the bellows. By the time I realised it was busted, the two year warranty had elapsed, but I e mailed Clark and he offered a replacement and shipping at half price. I think that is reasonable, and it was dispatched within a couple of days.
I think I was unlucky with the stat failure, and I do believe it's a great product, unavailable anywhere else (new).
Cheers, Clark! _________________ 1978 marino yellow Bay Dormobile camper
