The bath in Jet Fumes/Fuel (if they dumped any before landing) must be downright pleasant!
Add to this the deafening noise......

Is this some sort of "Bargain" Beach or were you very very bad boy and exiled there? Shocked

I once had the joy of camping at Raccoon Creek State Park under the Pittsburgh flight path....... I've Never been back, I WILL NEVER RETURN!!!!

This is a tradition on St. Maarten, you have go to the beach and stand under the 747 as it comes in!
It's doing 130 knots so the noise is over in a blink, jet fumes not really a consideration when landing...

Taking off...that's a different story!

It really is a neat place, especially in you like planes. There is a very long, empty beach that runs parallel to the run way. I really enjoyed watching the planes take off and land as a break from swimming, etc.

Thanks for that link. I feel for them trying to get those pictures! I had a hard enough time with people jumping in the way on almost every shot.
that is a great bar there too. One Sunday some locals were playing music and this kid jumps in with the musicians playing air guitar - he was about 3 yrs old and he was rocking out for a almost every song! great times there.

The beach on Simpson Bay! Yeah, some great times on that beach too!

I was hoping to see some more winter scenes posted here from up north with VW's, it's Vanagon desert down here!
