|
|
Here are some pics of a Hazet spare tire tool kit for a 4 lug wheel. Alteast that is what I am being told. Does anyone have any knowledge on this type of kit? I think I have seen some pics of this type before but can not find any at this time. I think the 4 vertical clips hold spark plugs.
Any help & additional pics would be nice.

To be quite honest, I don't think that this one was made by Hazet. It looks far too suffisticated as the known models, which were built to the early 1970s.
The alignment of the clips don't lign up to the known usual tools.
But at last the built quality seems to be rather good. It's hard to see on the photos - is it made out of metal or plastic? |

I just ran across this picture. It looks like the layout for this tool kit.

I do not have the tool kit in my possession yet. It is in transit. I will know if it is plastic or metal then. It does kind of look plastic. Hazet did make plastic tool boxes also for Type 3. I have 2 different types of them.
If it is not Hazet, who would it be? Too nice for a modern repro. _________________ Home of the one true split Bus Motorhome |

Yeah, itīs certainly not one of those Empi tool kitīs. I assume it was made after the patent of Hazet run out from an other company.
It also seems that there are no Hazet tools in it at all from the look on that sticker.
It has a really nice and handy layout with all those spare parts in it, I must admit.
Good stuff for speculations and to come down on a VW model on behalf of the tools supposed to be in there. As there is a hubcap puller, three sparkplugs, two wheelbolts...
I canīt deduce it, not that much experience with old VWs, except little with the beetle. |
