I'm curious, I might be missing some rods. How many guide rods are there of the small rods and the bigger square tubular bars? Thanks in advance!

There should be (1) header bow attached to a single trailing bow. Then there are (2) more complete trailling bows. Each trailling bow consists of an Aluminum bar & a round bar. All layed out, you should have 3 rectangular bows.

Hi, I have a question

my 3 fold has a plastic or hard rubber peice running down the length of sunroof - in a channel - one on each side- it's relatively thin, seems it is there to help keep water out or something.

On one side, part of it is missing - i guess it broke out - does anyone know where I could get a replacement?

Thanks

Matt S

Matt- The plastic strip you're referring to is for cosmetics only. It was used on 1953-55 aluminum rails. The good news is that it's very cheap (under $10) to replace both sides. It's the same stuff used on Deluxe Bus side trim. Available in Black, Sea Blue, Titian Red, Turquoise Green, Velvet Green & Sealing Wax red. Check out www.wolfsburgwest.com Part #241853590BK
and be sure to tell them you need it for your Beetle & you only need about 8 ft of the stuff.
