You don't have a "title" in New York for cars 1972 and older. You have a "transferable registration". _________________ Glenn

Selling a title or a VIN tag is a felony. However, if you were selling the title with the pan it would be ok.
But, this whole thread seems hokey as best. |

I have a '71 Fasty with a signed title from the 1980s. Yup, hasn't been registered since! _________________ 1974 Super Beetle. Owned since 1995. Daily Driver. Turned over odometer twice!

As long as it's not dated you're probably ok. I have heard of same states freaking out over these titles that are dated from 30 years ago. But, there are ways around that. |
