Start a thread on this 73 I picked up. One of my brother's co-workers approached him, said his neighbor passed away and the family was selling off all his vehicles and other belongings. The dude was 85, had this van forever, he might have been be the only owner? It's definitely been in Massachusetts since 1989.
Went and checked it out, it's a 73 passenger van, with a homemade camper kit. It's nothing special, sink and a table. Not even sure if the rear seat folds down. The son found the middle seat in the basement, so that was included in the sale.
It runs and drives, and it only has 65k for miles, and as far as my brother and I can tell, it's all OG and untouched. 1700 with dual carbs. Leaks a little oil, but the plan is to do all new seals and gas lines.
The only thing I can say is that it's SOLID and very straight!

This is the second super-OG '73 to show up in four months! I like this trend! (Spooky, because they both have the same low trim and the most unoriginal part on them is just the hubcaps. )
Please take good care of it; you have a real piece if history on your hands, and there aren't many cars of any type on the road today in that good of condition. _________________ Learn how your vintage VW works. And why it doesn't!

I hope so. Need to order some tires, engine bay seal/gasket, valve cover seals, fuel line, filters, cap, rotor...etc. Then it should be good to go. _________________ 77 Westy - Cape Cod Sage

X2.
Braze on some patches for any holes, thoroughly sandblast, and VHT coat. Or if money is good and you want the absolute best, go with Jet-Hot. _________________ Learn how your vintage VW works. And why it doesn't!
