Art, why just Baja's? Are they much different than setting up a weber or dellorto center mount? I am sure having decent manifold heat is important, anything else?

because the carb sets to the left of center its just hard to run a oil cooler in the shroud because the cable tube needs to be moved over to the left about 1 1/4in.

also the carb sets really high and hard to get an air filter on in a bus or bug that has any size to it.

The plentum manifilds make more power, its just hard to get the idle jets small enough to run right. isolated manifolds are easier to tune but make 10 to 15% less power.

On the PIC above I did weld heat risers to that exhaust. and it always helps. In cold climates Zeniths "ran single" are not the best choice. like to freeze up.

Look at this cable tube on this 30PICT . thats how I would do the zeniths.
