I am thinking I need a bikini top for the hot summer here.
My THING has a non factory style roll bar which sticks up in two places, over the windshield a bit and in the middle it has peak.
Any ideas on finding a top to fit? If not I will try a local custom top guy.
Thanks Thing people

Might be easy to just make one... with the help of an upholstery shop and some thick canvas. Utilize the roll bar as the bones... some snaps and some tie downs in the back and I think you'd be set.

Are you sure a stock top won't fit? I had this rollbar in one of my old Things and the stock top fit perfectly.

When I built my cage last year, I added tabs to install a sheet metal top with dzus fasteners.

Easy on and off and it can be left on when the hard or convertible top is installed.

I have a TTS bikini top, you're welcome to try it out, if you're ever in the area...

Heck, both of my tops are TTS... You can try them both on, and see what/if they fit!... Wink

I used to have a roll bar like yours on my old thing. I took it to an upholstery shop and asked them what they could do.

Here are some pics.

I used to have some better pics of it. I'll see if I can dig them out. I was very pleased with it.

A: since I only have a frame I am not sure a top won't fit.
B: I would love to try those tops in E TEnn...are you coming to the event in Helen weekend after this one?
C: I have guy who makes tops so I thought about going to him for a bikini.

I should try to put on the frame and see how it lines up. It has some corrosion but it seems to be all there

Thanks guys,,,

Well, toss your frame on there and see what's up!!

I doubt I will be able to make Helen.... I don't get much time at home in the spring, and when I do I have a list a mile long to take care of... Rolling Eyes
