Hi guys,
I have had this subwoofer installed in the ghia for the last 2 yrs...
While functional, its not really the prettiest thing to look at
so i decided to make it look a little more streamline
Keeping in theme with my pioneer head unit
Ready for Vinyl covering, same vinyl as the seats
i should be finished installing it by tomorrow
happy days |

Great work, looks perfect. Here is a tip for you that we used to do on competition cars but will help any install. Take the bottom plate of your amplifier and mount a fan so that it sucks air out of the amp. It will keep it from over heating... _________________ Jesse

just in time for the Nationals!

Where and when are these Nationals? I have so my Qantas air-points I can spend on a good cause. Just a short hop across the Tasman Sea.
EDIT: Duh. It was on as I wrote that. _________________ Festina lente - hasten slowly

24th May Sydney Sadly I won't be making it this year as the funds get diverted to the ghia!
A good one to go to is Day of VW in Melbourne - it's usually in November.
OR the Valla Spectacular which runs every 2 years and is on 24th July - 4 August 2016. It's a good once cause you get people heading from VIC/NSW and QLD to attend! I would say that would be definitely worthy of using up some Qantas points _________________ 1960 Beetle ''Heidi" daily driver

oh and thanks for your suggestion Socal, i will deffinatelly do something like that once i have a bit of time... this was all a mad rush to get the car ready for the show..
other plans that didnt make it were the LED light strip in the display box and etching the Plexiglass with the Karmann ghia Script. |
