That suggests to me the car needs to be driven more frequently, although there might be contributing factors as to why it isn't and instead has become a reasonably secure domicile for spiders.

In Australia those red back spiders are very toxic. Get bitten you will be very unwell and unattended will probably die. What about in North America?

The spider can also be a great theft deterrent if its web is in a conspicuous location!

The Brown Recluse is a more worrisome sort in N. america.

I have never been one to emotionally bond with inanimate objects by giving them names and such, But I think you got a good case to to calling your car Charlotte.

Spiders love my car, if left alone they have tried to build webs under the car,inside, and in the engine compartment..

and guess who's terrified of spiders...
