All black interior with scat procar low back seats. I've got an original empi gtv steering wheel.
and here's the wheels. Motor isn't in yet and I've got dropped spindles and a beam. Was messing around and dropped the beam almost all the way down to see how low it would go. Too low like that, just wanted to see.
Motor is 2276 with Steve Long XR310 cam. Waiting on tin to get done powder coating. Breather tower has since been sent out to get tapped for AN fittings. One breather to fuel pump block off and one line to the passenger side valve cover. Original german cylinder tins...aftermarket doghouse shroud that has been internally modified and had a venture ring added. _________________ Good things come to those who wait.

Are you going to have a rake stance? Super clean engine, looks great. This is one of the cleanest >67 builds i've seen lately. Are you keeping low chrome? _________________ 1980 2.0 Sunroof Vanagon |

Yeah, I'm keeping a nose down rake stance....just not quite this low. I kept all the body trim and I've got German running boards with the chrome strip on them. Other than that, no chrome. All business. The engine tin is getting powdercoated a black hammer finish right now. Breather tower is getting drilled and tapped for AN 8 fittings. It will have a line going to a stainless off road breather element that will be mounted high and to the right on the firewall. away from the shroud.
Thanks for the compliment....I'm going for a plain, clean look. Classic. _________________ Good things come to those who wait.

It is because of the big windows, short hood, stubby engine lid and a number of other things. But that is the reason they are called fat chicks, not because of the round tails on the even later cars. _________________ Jason

For me, everything post NHTSA Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and Regulation laws in 1967, and implemented in 68. bumpers got bigger and tail light got an additional bulb and lens color for turn signals. _________________ 1980 2.0 Sunroof Vanagon |

Rear window in a 67 is the same size as in a 68. Hood length is also the same. Semantics. Kind of like the Berg or nothing crowd. But whatever, guess I like fat chicks _________________ Good things come to those who wait.

Give me another month to post the pictures of the completed build. You'll really want one then. _________________ Good things come to those who wait.
