I just, today, realized that my Square came with one of your racks. I knew I loved it. I just didn't see the sticker till today.

My question is what type of wood do you use for your racks? Mine is in need of some new wood. I wanted your recommendation for a long lasting wood and a treatment for the wood to make it last longer.

Here are a couple of pictures. You can see how the wood on it is bowed and in need of some love.

WOW that's a 5 foot roof rack
I don't built that size anymore
5 years ago aprox.

kiln dried douglas fur clear

I like that Old color has right now
the ones are BAD turn them upside down
will be flat again and spray clear
will look Vintage with just the CLEAR spray over

That is why I love this forum. I would have never thought of that. And it should be a simple fix too.

As far as the color, it was rainy yesterday. That made it a little darker than usual. I'll snap another pick this weekend when I flip the slats and clear it.

Pedro, thanks for the tip. Worked like a charm. I thought you might like this picture from when I was half way done flipping the slats.
