Good question. I'd buy a set as well, if they were the snap in style. Don't want to drill any holes. |
no holes to drill with the Autocraft version, it simply screws in with the lower air flap screw on the side of the vent box. About a 30 second install. I was surprised when I saw they were held with one screw but they don't move, rattle, come loose at all. |

How about you make your own ??
It took 15 minuntes to make this:
Works great !! The seem is so tight on the OG ceiling panels of the Singlecab I had to tap it in place, and a little Elec. tape on the sharp ends. _________________ Tom

Autocraft's are uber pricey ($73), someone needs to make them again for $20 a pair. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

I am with CruKab on this one. Just make it out of an old license plate. Super fast/easy and works great.

I made a set out of 1" wide 1/16" thick stainless steel from the hardware store. $5 for enough length to make two. I just bent them in the vise -- one 90 degree bend and one 45 degree bend on each side then trim. They are held on by magnets at the ends. Not adjustable, but work great.

Well Mr. Hokie, Sir: Would you be willing to make some more? $5 in materials? Sounds like something I would be more than willing to pay $20-$25 for (shipped) sized for a single cab. I have my own flexible magnet and unpainted would be preferable. Just asking'. _________________ Larry in OB

Adhesive on one side. Peel and stick to the air deflector. |

And thanks to the efforts of Hokie87 we now have a pair of his custom air deflectors in our Single Cab. The flexible magnet was too weak to hold it in place so I used 5-minute epoxy to attach a rare earth magnet to each side which has worked fine.

Is there really still an interest in these?
I had to check this thread again. I had 3 people email me last week asking if I still had any (I don't)
If the need is there I can do another run. They won't be $72 + shipping that's for sure. They will most likely be raw steel this time around (to save money / lower the price) everyone seemed to paint the last ones anyway... |

I'm in as well and would prefer regular steel so it can be painted. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |
