Almost two months away!!!

Hey folks, it's the 11 Year Anniversary of the All Air-Cooled Gathering!
The Gathering is always a huge celebration towards the end of the show season here in the North East. We always have a great turnout and fun time, this is one event you don't want to miss. Check out our site http://www.allaircooledgathering.com for the basics and keep an eye on this thread for the latest developments.
==================
CAMPING
Last year we had over 170 camping and at party in the clubhouse on Saturday night, and over 325 cars on the show field [all air-cooled! No water!!!] on Sunday.
==================
SHOWCASE
This year we will be showcasing Type 181 - Things! For every Thing that shows, each will receive a unique memento of the event. We are expecting a great turnout so this will be one not to miss! All Things are welcome in any shape .
==================
EVENT HIGHLIGHTS
"The Voice of VW Drag racing" Dyno Don Chamberlin will be back again with us.
Pin striping legend, Charlie "The One Armed Bandit" Decker, will be painting again on site. If you are interested in having your car, tool box, skateboard or girlfriend striped, email for a reservation [[email protected]]. His time is limited so sign up early.
More Valve Cover Racing, bring your own or race one of ours. The competition last year was brutal so bring yer "A" game.

Dub Push Kompetition This is another call for all local clubs to participate in the coveted Dub Push Kompetition. Do you have the stones to push your club to victory? The kompetition is fierce, but the prize is the "Dub Push Cup!" You club name will be engraved for posterity and you will take possession of the cup for a year to return in 2016 to defend your title.
A boatload of events for the kids, coloring contests, VW Twister, Herbie Bean Bag Toss and of course the bouncy castle will be back again!

We are 5 weeks away from show time. Rest assured that the Central Jersey Volkswagen Society is working full time to make our 11th All Air Cooled Gathering the best it can be.
We look forward to another record turnout!

Anybody know if a thing is lighter than a 57 sunroof bug? |
I don't know for a fact, but I would say a Thing is heavier.
This year I would like to match cars for the push- like a beetle vs a beetle or Thing vs Thing. This way there are no arguments. _________________ Central Jersey Volkswagen Society - President |
