Sure, there were lots of camper interior/conversions that used such. |
Fair enough, but if that's the case, why is there not a single camper listed in this thread that has small windows?
Are they all totally unknown? |
you mean like Ronnies? I just figured they were from an RV supply and owners hacked them in....

Anybody ????
How about, can anybody even ID a few of the individual parts on my camper ?
The only one that really seems kinda certain is the main dineing table has the shape of EZ Camper.
What about the scissors arms under the bed ? Anybody know what company used those ?
At this point, Im callin it a "Homebrew EZ Dial Custom" _________________ Im not living in the past........but I sure as hell intend to bring some of the past into the future !! |

Sorry LostinSpace, but I can't see any of your pictures (work browser won't allow viewing) unless they are actually imbedded in theSamba site. |

Compare your bus to the pictures of various camper buses in this thread.
If it doesn't match, I'd think it was either a camper company not listed there..., or possibly a variation by one of the campers companies that was listed.
How exciting! a mystery for you to figure out! _________________ The Obsolete Air-Cooled Documentation Project http://oacdp.org/ |

Allready looked at lots of pics. It has a few items that kind of match certain aftermarket manufacturers. Others are obviously home made, others I cant say.
I have yet to see any other like it, yet its a factory built unit. Originally from Colorado in the 60's.
I figured some splitty camper bus guru would ID it in a second........... _________________ Im not living in the past........but I sure as hell intend to bring some of the past into the future !! |

With hundreds if not thousands of camper conversion companies all thru just N. America in the 1950s thru 1970s, it would be hard to know them all. Plus there were the camper interiors you could just buy by mail or the plans you could build them from. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

Dunno if this is a repost. It is titled "Weekender". I found it on an old crashed hard drive and think I remember someone sending it to me when I was editor for SV2s. I know neither maker nor year.
I like the way the curtain slides across both doors easily after you are inside.

Just picked up this patina monster 1963 camper out of Eastern New Mexico. I believe it is a Caravelle model. No sticker/badge inside to confirm.

Looks like a Caravelle. Mine is identical except the bed. Mine is a Z-bed and doesn't have those support legs. Other than that it's a match. Even the upholstery that looks like it came from an old couch.... _________________ '63 Caravelle Camper
