I replaced the outer window scraper and had to remove the wing window. Get the factory manual...you'll need it. Get replacement door panel clips and the little rubber boots. Take your time, there's lots of little sharp things just waiting for you to meet up. _________________ "Blanch" '85 Westy

I replaced the rubber on my vent window. On the piv. arm, I used pop riv. and screws. Drill the old ones out.

darg I also had to drill out rivot on pivot arm to get vent window seal installed. I put a washer between where pivot arms meet and put in a pop rivot.

Now to replace the vent lock latch. I had to remove the vent window glass to get to the vent window lock. The glass just pulls out but you do have to pull on it hard. I was very careful and was able to reuse the old felt channel for reinstallation of the vent glass. I hear it is very difficult to reinstall vent glass with a new felt channel. With the glass out I then had to drill out the rivets that hold the vent lock in the chrome channel. One hole on the new vent lock didn't match up, so I drilled out hole to match and mounted new vent lock with pop rivets. Reinstalled vent glass and mounted back in frame. If I can do this, anyone can. Just be VERY PATIENT!!!!
