I am lost.
Maybe you can help me. I just got a 1973 high top camper and need the front child's cot. The mounting brackets are not the galvanized slots but the metal bars. Best I can describe sorry. Anyways I went to Bugorama in Sac and found three different types of poles some short some long and some adjustable. All had different ends that mount. I was told at the show that they made three different types depending on the year of the camper. No body new what a 73 would have but all wanted me to buy theirs. Before I pay up to $200 on this cot can you lean me toward the right pole ?
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks
Paul

68 to 73 are 56 1/4" long. 68-early 69 are round and black. They bend very easily. VW got smart and made them 3 sided and galvanized. They were stored on top of the side cabinet.
74-75 were 57 1/4" long. They were stored under the full width bench seat/bed. The brackets on the A and B pillars sit lower.
76-79 were 2 piece collapsible. The reason for this was because of the 3/4 bench seat/ bed. No where else to store them. The half moons were in the same position as 74-75, so the 57 1/4" bars will also work but you will not have a place to store them.
All the 68-79 canvas were the same size.

It's an Adventure camper. Why are some brackets different. Will all poles fit?

No, especially if your camper is an OTW.

I see by your gallery you know how to post pics, how about some of these brackets?

If nothing else you can always get a new cot. I have this one and it's pretty nice. The price is nice, and it comes with everything you need.
