With a notched frame for tie rods.. at what point do you find that tie rod is hitting clutch cable and are forced to run clutch cable under the tie rod.??? Done searches with little info. Any input or examples appreciated... _________________ 58 dove blue kombi

It definitely looks better in pics. I'm going to let the paint finish curing and then I'm going to attack it with a buffer and then the headline and windows. _________________ Anthony

The cool thing about that bus... I paid $600 for it. It cost me another $700 to get it running. The low job was free because I learned how to do it myself with the help of NAES, Nate @ Wagenswest and Brandon all via the internet.
Had I knew then what I know now about striping paint off... I might have had an OG Turkis 63 Walk-thru. _________________ Anthony

For gee wiz here's my 62 that I've been working on lately. The first "ready for paint" bus I ever spent money on. Yeah not so much! I had a lot of long days doing rustoration work to replace the crap left behind by 2 different people. There were holes with epoxy, seam sealer and metal plates covering them. It looked real good when I looked at it. The body and paint guy uncovered it all.

Not a great picture, but the shoes have been changed out. The lugs have also been changed to black ones that hide within the mount holes. I guess I'm in a pimping my bus out mood this morning.

Heck I might as well pimp out the engine too! 2100 stroked, polished, ported, balanced, full flowed w/external oil cooler and oil filter... you name it my buddy Brian in SD did it for me.
