You can us a standard short flute, flat bottom, no corner radii 16mm Endmill.

mine has a guide on it so it doesnt effup the bore.
Ive seen the later hyd cases that have the oil gally offset about 2~3 mm and they were chattered all to hell when they were serfaced from the factory.probably due to the offset oil gally hole |

I ground several before and they are all gone/sold. Im not sure when I can make them again.
It is not that hard to make them if you have a cylindrical grinder.
Don't use an endmill as it will cut the inside walls and that will really screw up the case. The tool should only allow an end-cut....not a sidewall cut. |

End mill will work but it does not take much to cut mag. I made mine from a french moped crank. Just have to find a something 18mm and sharpen it! |

I didn't want to get to technical, mine has a guide that screws into the plug hole and the flutes have been relieved from about .03 from the eop of the end-mill so that no side cutting can happen. I also believe mine is a .625 diameter. I should go out and measure it and take a picture. |

I had a machinist friend tap, thread and make a stem for my end mill. Gotta be delicate when drilling with the press and it's usually just a skim off the surface flat. Ran into too many cases with pounded relief valve seats.
