x2, great shots. Odd resolution though, did you shoot them in that format on purpose? _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

portrait seems a perfectly good choice for a portrait, compared to using landscape for a landscape? _________________ regards

I'm a total photo noob, was just curious why they were tall/skinny as most pics I see are the opposite. The pics are awesome. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

There must have been a large batch of the Samtgruen/Blauweiss '65 standards imported to the states.
I bought mine in Albuquerque in '93, at that time after days of cleaning and rebuilding the normal things like brakes and wheelbearings, it was in extremely good condition, and i drove it home to Detroit with my Dad and older brother as i was just 14 at the time. You can see it's been 21 years in Michigan now, both rockers are showing signs they'll need to be replaced soon. but the Majority of the original paint is in pretty great condition still, all things considered. _________________ |

Is there a specific brand of paint that is an excellent match to the original velvet green? We will be getting some touch up done on my westy and would like it to match as best as possible. _________________ R.I.P. Mom

Great thread! Just received a low-mileage Velvet Green 1967 SO-42A here in San Diego. Planning to clean it up, replace some missing/incorrect parts, get it color-sanded & polished, and simply enjoy it!

It feeds the burner on the heater up front.
If you ever get a chance could you post pics of how the pre-heat air tube is plumbed through the firewall, what the coupler is for, and if the right heaterbox pre-heat outlet is smaller than the paper tube?
That is if you ever get done slobbering over everything else. That rivals, who was it...Mark Merrill's, two velvet Westys. |
