Any body know what this is? Small hatch I found in my 73 High roof. It was under three layers of wood paneling and linoleum ? Nobody seems to know.

It's so you don't have to stop to let the kids use a restroom... _________________ '78 Bus 2.0FI

did you look in the owner's manual? That is the first place I would look. A hint is look under heating. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

It's nice to have a lid, but the seat looks awfully small.

The bus did not come with an owners Manuel. My friends have bay windows and haven't seen this before. Do you think it could have been put in when the camper kit was put in? _________________ Gas, Grass or Ass ? No one rides to the show for free!! |

At the top of this page click on Technical. Then click on owner's manuals. I would encourage you to explore this site and not just limit yourself to the Bay Forum.
When the manual opens for your year, you can look page by page or use the link at the bottom to download the PDF. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |

I guess you didn't read the above froum. It did not come with an owners Manuel and apparently a heater. Thank you! I guess it would have been located under the middle seat? _________________ Gas, Grass or Ass ? No one rides to the show for free!! |

With a PO installed camper interior I do not have heat coming out under the rear seat. The vents at the floor behind the front seat work but not enough to heat the rear area. I found that propping the hatch open changed my rear passengers lives significantly by raising temps by 10 to 15 degrees in the back of the bus. _________________ my59: Well son, my grandfather died before I got to drive it, so does that answer your question?
