|
|
1976 Type 4 GD engine. I have the fan shroud removed and am starting to put things back together. Just to the right of the breather box where the tin overlaps the block, there is a slot in the engine tin which leaves an open hole. It looks original and intentional, like something should go there.
What is supposed to go in or through the hole marked by the red arrow? |

Thanks, busdaddy!
For non-411/412 applications, should there be some kind of plug to seal the hole? |

None that I've ever seen, but it wouldn't hurt to stick some sort of plug in there, every little leak adds up. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.
