Just a stubby screwdriver for the bottom one. I actually picked up the stubby at an antique shop after realizing I'd forgotten one in the tool box.
The upper brush is a little more involved with the small generator so the carb came off.

I wore out generator brushes on a road trip once and since then made sure a pair were in the spares kit.
This is only the 3rd time I've worn out brushes. They last a loooong time.

If you get into ST. PETE / CLEARWATER early ; there is a mixed makes car show every Thursday evening 4;30 to 9 at Quaker steak and lube AND on Friday evening there is another at a restaurant named Biff Burger which is located in ST. PETE on 49th ave and 38th street 4;30 to 9 .

If you've never been its a real treat! Longest running hippy (bus) hangout. Lots of parking in the grass off street, BYOB, coolers welcome.. Fun people and great music. There's even retired VW beetle in the stage area you can sit in a watch the music/people from! Don't forget your camera!

Drove my bus today for its 1st real test drive since changing the transmission and front brakes. All was good on my 10 mile drive to work.
