Discontinued Sad

Get 'em while you can. Onlinetires.com called me last night to tell me they were out of stock but found a supplier on the East coast with 40 sets left. My shipping increased by $48 but was still within the average going price on the web. The only 14" tires he has now aren't LT.

I called to confirm with Hankook, the next closest tire they sell is the RA18 185/R14. Anyone know what the difference is?

This is even more sad news after I found out from my parts guy that Bosch stopped making spark plug wires and the shoes I bought from him last time for $23 have gone up to $75…

What is everyone else running?

I just got a set of the BF Goodrich All Terrains:
http://www.onlinetires.com/products/vehicle/tires/...r+rwl.html

Man, those are some bitchin' tires! I'll have to hear what they sound like on the highway, but they look great and quite appropriate on my new 1972 Sportsmobile.

Thanks for the heads' up on the RA-08s. I was on the fence to order some for the Wild Westerner. I am now off the fence.

Hankook's website states the RA-18s are summer tires and RA-08s are "all-season".

I'm going to go out and say it.

?uck.

Those tires saved my life, twice, and I am going to do my best to get in touch with everyone I can in the industry, and try to reason with them for an occasional limited production. Folks, arm yourselves with the info from BusDepot and call you local tire dealer. Call your local Hankook reps. Call Yokohama and tell them that their 185r14C tire is not quite good enough, but you know 10,000+ enthusiasts who are going to need them soon.

Does this mean the 195s are out too?
