Can't remember if I posted this one.
My MV VR6 developed a vibration crossing the 2000-2200 rpm threshold which pointed me to exhaust. I found the rubber mount on the left of the drop pipe to the converter was missing, so I bought a new one from VW and replaced it
Incredible difference in noise and vibration...all gone

Interesting how much one little chunk of rubber can affect the performance of the van!
I realized recently that muffler #2 wasn't even connected to the pipes on one of my vans recently -- had it welded up and the van went from grumbly to damn near silent.
