Hello all, first time posting in this part of the forum...
Stumbled across some cool old training modules in the shop at my college, the instructor told me to take them because he knew I was into VW stuff..
They appear to be the original VW training guides with a small manual and a vinyl record to listen to! How cool, the difference between vinyl records to learn from and now we have youtube..
If anyone wants them, they're yours (just pay for shipping)

If, for whatever reason, Rich declines them, I'm keen. _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.

Wow I remember that type of media in grad school. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.
Numbers Matching VW's are getting harder to find. Source out the most Stock vehicle and keep that way. You will be glad you did.

I love those things! I currently have a collection of around 60 of those blue boxes on all different service and sales topics. I've got some duplicates that I should trade or sell. Here's a shot of the collection.
Got a Dukane filmstrip projector with a built-in record player too, but haven't ever set it up yet to test it out and play the films/records.

Bill, you might be interested to know that is the correct model of Dukane projector/record player that VW issued for these. I have one as well. I also have a large selection of these training packages. They are pretty interesting to say the least. I may be interested in your duplicates if you ever have a chance to go through them. _________________ 1957 Karmann Ghia

The snazzier record/filmstrip setups used a recorded beep on the record to automatically flip to the next frame. We had those back in elementary school in the 1960s. Combined with mimeograph/ditto machine handouts (ffffffftttt! smell those dittos!), we had a real multimedia education!

It's been a while since I've pulled my projector out but if I recall correctly it has auto advance. Though mine needs to be refurbished or something as the auto advance wasn't functioning. _________________ 1957 Karmann Ghia

I'm so glad to know there are a few other Training filmstrip "nutbags" out there like myself!
KTPhil's comments about the mimeograph/ditto handouts bring back some sweet memories! I used to love it when "Sister Mary Whatever" would float down the row of desks and had out those copies fresh from the ditto machine! Straight to the nose and deeply inhale!
It's a wonder I'm not a drug addict now!
