Bad picture, can't remember if it had a sunroof. Saw this Bus in Sydney, back of a VW shop, 1993.

Pops old bus.(Mr G Beyer of Port Melbourne) was the first owner of this Barndoor bus. Victorian rego GGS 168 in 1954.It came with factory sunroof and safari windows. He worked for Vic Rail at the time and used the bus to deliver the boxes off the trains. He said he didn't like the way the boxes damaged the good seats in the bus. He would come back to the bus and people where always under the van looking for the engine he found that funny. He took the bus up to Queensland and over to South Australia it was the right van for the job at the time.He sold it in the late 50s, this is a pic of it in 1954, it was one of the first of its type in Australia. A microbus with factory sunroof and safari windows he said it took 6 months to come from Germany. |

the new owner has plenty of money so doesn't need to sell it.
Id say youd be up for $200k to get your hands on it again Chris.
