heck, I spent an hour sitting behind the bus trying to figure how to attach the transmission to the rearwards facing flywheel side. I even turned the motor sideways but it still wouldn't fit. Then someone told me that in German the front side of a VW motor means the back side but all that did was make me turn around and look at the street instead of the back of the bus.
