If you have the table that hangs off the door i would love to see some dimensions and the bracket that the table uses to attach to the sliding door [/img]

That is so cool , that bus looks solid.
That is an early bay though , 71-72 , I thought Trinity Campers started later but I could be wrong. Front tire bracket is different , slider windows , etc.
You may have another type of conversion , there are so many out there that look similar and they all used the same pop up.

I do have the table that hangs from the slider , tomorrow is my day off so I will take some pictures and measurements for you.

The windows were swapped out since they are in bad shape. I have the table leg but no table. The interior was not trinity because previous owner took it out and put a westy interior in.

Well damn. That has to be one of my favorite bay conversions to date, other than the Devon of course Wink

I currently have a similar exterior table in the works, a bit humorous I thought I was being innovative.

Yes , it works just like you describe.
One piece of wood that folds over the seat has some damage but once I repair it I"ll show how it works.

Well its been quite a while since buying the bus from ib-bus who was kind enough to sell it to me because of my family attachment. I will try and post a few pics of my dad and uncle back in the day doing the installs of their cabinetry and mods. I talked at length with them about the business...they would get clients that had already purchased the buses to bring them by the shop in Ojai, CA and they would install their cabinet units, benches, beds, camper tops, and a few other mods. They would buy the camper tops from sportsmobile by the truck load and then do as many installs as they had tops. They retrofitted about 220-250 campers over a 3 year period before closing up shop and moving their families to Alaska which is where I still live. I saw ib-bus restoring one of their and vw buses and had to buy it for my dad's 70th birthday. Thanks again for letting me buy your project.

Seeing more obscure conversions like this, it'd be cool if dimensions for the furniture etc could be put together.

I have a 7-passenger with an original z-bed, so it'd be cool to be able to remove the middle seat, then replicate the drawer unit from the Trinity Camper, and maybe the cooler/fridge unit too.

Did I miss it? What's behind the metal hatch on the rear passenger corner?

Aww. I was sort of secretly hoping that this would happen. I would love to have seen your father's face when he first saw this bus. Very Happy

I'm glad you were able to buy the bus, what a great piece of family history you have.

samwise... the hatch on the back right quarter panel is a place for an extra battery I believe...I'll get some more info from my dad. It had something to do with one of their mods. Thanks all for the kind replies. I have not yet got the bus back to Alaska. Was going to drive it up but not sure it would make it. Then i was going to drive down and get it but not sure thats going to happen either. Now I'm looking for a shipper to check out their prices for shipping to Alaska. If anyone knows of a few good vehicle transporters I would greatly appreciate it.
