|
|
Trying to get a fender to mock-up my front clip...
There's one locally, but it's a late one.
Does anyone out there know if the late fenders have the same profile at the mounting surface?
The late fenders are different at the marker light, and bumper mount(?),
But what about the front edge?
Along where the hood matches.. Is that a different shape? _________________ Bus Motor Build

It depends on what you are calling "late" and "early". If you are talking second design 1970-73 as opposed to first design 1961-9 they are pretty much completely different. Get the correct template for your mock up. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Yes, find a 69 and earlier fender for mocking up.
The 70-73 fenders are narrower along the top, have a deeper hood opening, and higher rise at the front. All of these changes are due to the trunk getting enlarged for the 70-on models.
It would be like putting super beetle front fenders on an oval. Won't fit worth a damn. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof
