I just bought a bug titled 1967 but I can't figure the vin. Chassis vin is 157420593. I can't find that vin in the technical section . Oh ! And body has same number. The vins I see in technical section start with 117 that match up with motor number of H0607145

If it's a 157 I'm guessing it's a convertible. Is this correct?

Surely, it must be a 'vert.

Beginning in 1965, the serial number is actually the last 6(or 7) digits on the charts, and those serials were shared across the entire type 1 range. The first two digits are the first two numbers of the specific model number, and the third number, the year. In 1967, 11s were Sedan and Sunroof Beetles, 14s were Ghia, Ghia Convertibles and Fridolins, 15s were Beetle Convertibles.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox.

Thank you. I'm excited about this new buy. Pics coming once everything is cleared.
