So you found it 10 years ago & the owner finally gave it up this year ??
That beats my 9 year wait on this:
Sitting since '78/'79, found in 1998, bought in 2007, I must have dropped by or ran into the Old Lady in town 2 dozen times, give her another card, chit chat, and wait.....
Good Job !!

Yep. I have one of those somewhere in my stuff. Bolts to the three RGB/springplate bolts on each end. _________________ nothing |

Pretty much the same setup. I couldn't figure out what the hell was bolted to the spring plates.
5 months shy of 10 years. Did a divorce appraisal for her on some motorcycles and this bus and have been trying since then to buy it. |

'60 panel
Found this bus last year, stopped by a couple of times to give the owner my number. Finally got a call that she was ready to sell. It helps to actually be driving a bus when out

Well, I had a dream that I was in some mountains somewhere and found 3 abandon splits. It was a good dream. I better keep up the hunt, it may be a good sign. |

I had a similar dream 15 years ago, about finding a split window, deluxe, in a field full of cars. Then the dream happened again, a few days later, this time with more visuals. 6 months later I found the bus...a 63, 21 window, in the same field that I had seen in my dream. It is a world of possibilities out there. |

I saw a Craigslist ad that said "VW Buses" so I called. I was the first to call and decided to buy them, got the wifes number and she began sending me an invoice. That's when she had other calls and higher offers but she stayed true to our deal and we got them. She wouldn't take the ad down just put Pending sale on the title. That was crazy because people were calling her off the hook. But my partner got there yesterday and finished the deal. 1965 11 window standard and a 71 deluxe bay.

Nice Red DD! I'd have to rent a steam pressure washer and go to town on all that blackness. I'd like to see a time-lapse spray off! _________________
