Can you install a firewall without dropping out the engine? _________________ '68 Deluxe Bus |

I would think it more than a bit of a challenge with an upright fan engine and I doubt it can be done at all.
With the "pancake" (1.7+) engines there's really no reason to remove the engine, but the uprights come out so relatively easily.
Count your blessings and drop the engine. _________________ “To find yourself, think for yourself”

if you could get the shroud off sure, but there is that pesky oil cooler in the way. If you cut an access hatch you could. If you go that route, make sure you can seal it well....i road in a 72 that had a half assed access hatch in it and it was upper case LOUD in the bus. _________________ KK4NTP

If it were easy without pulling the engine there would not be so many bays with access panels installed to reach the fuel gauge sender. _________________ “Most people don’t know what they’re doing, and a lot of them are really good at it.” - George Carlin |
