I know it was an aftermarket accessory and I want to give it a go and recreating one for my bug. Photos or any reference would be helpful. |

I've seen those rev counters RareAir describes- but I've never seen one that converts mph-kph. Seems like you'd end up with a single, slick-looking ring- you should repop it like VVCA's cling. _________________

This Type 3 speedometer w/broken needle has a mph-kph overlay on it & is quite legible face on with no glare!

Are these still available? I looked at the website but didn't see a store.
I have a 58 Euro ragtop coming and I need something so I know how fast I am going with the KM speedo. _________________ 1965 Ottinger Tribute Overland Bus

There was an actual film overlay that was glued to the speedometer face. They were used on gray market cars that were brought to the U.S. through unauthorized channels. This saved the exporters the expense of replacing the entire speedometer. They looked so realistic that you could hardly tell the difference unless you looked very closely. I have one of the overlays, but it's on a speedometer in my car. _________________ We are striving for perfection, to make our cars run forever, if possible.
