In another post I've been receiving help pertaining to why my bus engine is loosing power. In doing lots of studying and reading I've seen photos in the Bently showing a set of tubing that runs up the sides of both sides of the back of the bus. When I look in my engine bay, I see what looks like an incomplete set of these tubes as seen below. What does this system do and is it possible,to repair mine?

Th fuel tank venting & evap hoses are important and will need to addressed
as some people have been known to cap them off without realizing the
gas tank needs to breath and dump the fumes into the charcoal canister.
In the Green Bentley repair manual Chapter 3 (fuel System) you will find
more info and a good picture of items you can't see that have short pieces
of hose connecting the metal lines. up in the sides above the taillights are the
most difficult to replace. Page 5, fig 3-1 will show you a better picture. _________________ V.W.owner since 1967 |
