My side curtains don't align up with the top. Looking it over the portion from windshield to first joint is bent in a bow. that is causing the side curtain and top to not match. What cause this? Looks like I could bend it back straight maybe using a little heat. It will probably bend again unless someone past really handled it wrong. Would it be OK to lay some kind of reinforcement in there and tack weld in several places to give more strength?
There are 3 or 4 places where the fabric wore through but the material is playable, and seems in pretty good shape. For a fix to keep it from tearing, is there a really good tape for a temp fix? |

First thing to check is whether the windshield is at the correct angle otherwise the top never quite gets in the proper position.
Thing Shop sells a set of reinforcement brackets/stops that makes sure the windshield is in the proper place. _________________ Walküre Restoration Thread: https://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=737492 |

With side curtain in door the front fits the windshield angle and height. Farther back along top the farther is is from top, guessing 2". How else can I tell if the windshield is positioned correct? |

What would cause the top frame to bend and how to prevent it? |
