I am currently using a 009 Distributor in my 2 liter type iv motor and i've got a line on a 0231172019 from a 914 (it has a vacuum advance that i'm hoping will help me with the "flat spot" of the 009. My question is does anybody have this setup in there motor?

Yes it will help as the 009 has only 17 degrees of advance. Set the 914 dizzy at 28 degrees @ 3500rpms with the no hose to the vacuum advance. Then add on the hose to see that it runs up to 30 plus degrees of advance. Don't hook up the vac retard

Ok cool. I'm getting some conflicting info on the points/Condensor is it the same or different than a 009?

points, condenser, cap and rotor are the same as the 009 on that distributor.
