Weird fuse

I was puttering around in the 412 today, just working on a few electrical systems that weren't working, mainly turn signals. I had emergency flashers, but no turns. I went to the fuse box to check everything and found this in position 11:

Is this some sort of home-made replacement fuse? I replaced this with a new 8-amp and got my turn signals back.

Yep....looks like a home made fuse or a really third world brand. Ray
