OKTOBERFEST MAIN EVENT HAS MOVED TO SATURDAY NIGHT!
The City of Firsts Volkswagen Club and the Kokomo Summer Concert Series invite you to the 12th Annual Roger S. Wright Oktoberfest Volkswagen Cruise-In and a free concert with Hotel California “A Salute to the Eagles”. New for 2016, the main event has been moved to Saturday night September 24, 2016! This talented group is the only Eagles tribute band endorsed by the Eagles! Once again, The Summer Concert Series has put together another unbelievable concert at Foster Park’s beautiful Performing Arts Pavilion. This is still an entirely FREE event; Free Swap Meet spaces, Free Car Entry, and a Free Concert! As we do every year, we will be raising money for a local charity. Saturday night, thanks to each of our food and beverage vendors a percentage of their sales will go to our selected charity. Friday night at the Depot we will conduct a raffle with all the proceeds going to charity. What a great group of people to work with who have big hearts and don’t forget, the concert will be held on Saturday night September 24, 2016.

Friday Night September, 23rd
Something “NEW” this year! We will begin the pre-party gathering of VW friends at 6:00 PM. We would like you to come join us Friday evening at the Lake Erie & Western Railroad Depot Historic District, 501 N. Buckeye Street in Kokomo. This is an event you will not want to miss; it is in one of the coolest areas of our recently renovated downtown districts. Just like every other year, we will have an amazing raffle to raise money for a local charity. This gathering will offer the historic depot with restaurants located along the aesthetically beautiful, original brick-paved street. We will have lots of surprises and great entertainment sponsored by 3 Amigos Mexican Restaurant.

Saturday AM September, 24th
For your entertainment, there are three additional festivals the same weekend as The Oktoberfest Volkswagen Cruise-In, all of which are within 25 miles from Kokomo. The famous James Dean Festival takes over Fairmount, Indiana, and the Gas City Ducktail Run is held due east of here in Gas City. If you have had enough “car stuff” you can head south to Atlanta, Indiana, and visit The Atlanta Festival. These events are just a short drive from Kokomo.

Saturday PM September, 24th
Something different this year is the Saturday evening concert. We will begin the Cruise-In at the traditional 4:00 PM start time. Hotel California "A Salute to the Eagles" from Lake Arrowhead, California will take the stage for the 12th Annual Roger S. Wright Oktoberfest Volkswagen Cruise-In. The opening acts will be pleasing to the ear and pave the way for Hotel California to take us back in time. If you would like a great parking spot you will want to come a little early. Multiple food vendors and several Volkswagen merchandise vendors will once again be onsite. If you prefer to take a stroll to our thriving downtown to visit our fine restaurant/pubs or peruse several of our downtown merchants, the park offers a walking path just for that! Volkswagens, Volkswagen Parts, Volkswagen Merchandise, Food, Live Music; this is always an incredible evening in Kokomo, Indiana!

Sunday, September 25th
We will meet at the Courtyard by Marriott for a 9:00 AM breakfast in a private dining area. This will give us an opportunity to say good-bye to our special guests and some of the finest people on the planet.

Courtyard Marriott, 411 Kentucky Dr., Kokomo, IN 46902 (765)453-0800 is the Host Hotel. Make reservations early. Car enthusiasts fill the hotels quickly for this huge car show weekend.
