You should have gotten the support bar. If not it is just a piece of 3/4" black pipe with some tabs welded to it.
Let me know if you want some pictures..
Not any update on mine. Life has gotten in the way. I do open the garage door and smile at it now and then.
I'm so jealous your having so much fun with yours. Seen posts on FB. _________________ dbsmith

Hey David, I hope everything is going well with you! I'm curious what steering column you went with and what wheel adaptor you used for the beautiful MOMO steering wheel.
Thanks!

Wow, guess I've been out of touch for a while. Life still been way too busy to play with her. Hopefully by summer time. She does wimper ever time I open the garage door.
Jeff, your making good progress. I used the flaming river column with adapter K2401. But there is about a 1/4 " gap between column and adapter. Will need to play with it more.
Jim. You've been taking some great photos of ours. Glad you loving it. _________________ dbsmith

Well
Life has calmed down a bit so it's time I got after it again. Got the side bars done, front seat belts installed and the dash finished up.

Looks great. How did you attach the seat belts to the roll bar? |

It's a threaded rod welded in. Think called a 'Bung'. Uses the seat belt thread 7/16 fine.
Turnkey Manx may still sell them. _________________ dbsmith

I have a type 1 mount and thought it would just be a bolt on situation. Where or what are these pads that are shown in your photo above? I have the original pads but they don't fit. I could cut them off but it wouldn't give me any horizontal restraint. It looks like this might be a specialty pad for this application? Anyone that can shed light on this for me would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

For the rear transaxle mounts you need the 1972 and earlier style
#113-301-263 is the part number.
Seeing your signature you may have the later rear mounts that do not work. They are very soft.
Switching to the earlier mounts should be the fix. _________________ Joseph

So,, while everyone is playing in Big Bear, the wife was gone, so I had a good buggy day in the garage. I got the gas tank installed along with reserve valve, front bumper bolted in, rear license plate install with LED lights, and bracket made for horn. I dropped off my old engine case at Topline in Anaheim this week to see if it salvageable and dropped off metal parts to be welded...I looked in my boxes and all the parts are about gone. Just a 1000 ft of wire.
Almost there...

So a few week ago I got the gas tank installed along with the reserve valve.
And today I got a wild hair up my .... Got up at 5am (before it got to 100') And went crazy with the U-pol.
Spray the hood, engine cover and the rear seats. Now instead of boy and girl seats, I have uni-sex, so ther is no confusion on who sits where.
Really came out nice..I wish I would have flipped the body over and done the whole underside. And I was thinking with complaints about the black roof top being hot, how about if I spray the underside white or light gray?
JEFF ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION.......
And now about ready to pull trigger on motor
David

Who says the kitchen table isn't a great place to wax the hood?
Should have seen her face when I said we needed to make room for the motor..
And just a few more pictures of progress
