IMO...its on the high side Crying or Very sad
For that kind of $$ ($56K US) I'd expect real accessories, real Fuchs and a real GT steering wheel... and then I would say, thats on the high side. Cool

I'm not aware of any Ghia Golde roofs being factory fitted. Certainly the early Golde roofs were either dealership accessories or aftermarket fitted.

Embarassed My bad, thank you for the correction.

would be interesting to know just how many Golde roofs were installed... sure would like to see an NOS one come up in the classifieds Cool just for a future Coupe of course.....if not for bragging rights alone Very Happy

Lots of talk of Golde roofs in the forum over the years...just one example: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=274641

A chap I know has one on a '56 and when I was looking for a Lowlight 12 years ago, I spent about 18 months trying to get him to sell it to me. I couldn't wait forever and I fould my '58 in the meantime. He still has his '56 and now a friend of mine is trying to buy it for his wife.

No telling how many were fitted as they didn't leave the Karmann factory fitted so not an official option on the birth certificate. A rough estimate is there are around 20 known of all years.
